Each of the apartments created during the restructuring process has been constructed to offer its own uniqueness within the villa.
Accommodation is complemented with period style furniture giving the villa its original Florentine atmosphere alluding to the great Renaissance period for which the city is so famed.
Refurbished in 2011
The Il Villa Mosaico was refurbished in 2011 and renovations have regenerated the family apartments and communal areas so that the villa architecture is suggestive of that seen in the historic centre of Florence.
The Villa Il Mosaico family apartments were named after the traditional Florentine mosaic flooring which can be appreciated within the villa. It was constructed at the end of the 18th century and can lay claim to relative importance in the local history of Florence.
The villa’s “l’arte dei Beccai” coat of arms refers to one of the many guilds of Florence that operated during the Renaissance period.
These guilds were secular corporations which controlled the arts and trades in Florence, in this case the Beccai - butchers, inn and tavern keepers.

Authentic Florentine Design
Great care was taken to ensure that the original structure was respected in order to conserve the authentic Florentine design of the building; original beams have been preserved and traditional construction techniques can still be admired in the villa’s original stone-work walls.
